I love to garden and have no energy to do so but will again someday. I also have little land to experiment. I do have hollyhocks planted in the back yard all against the back fence. I cannot wait till they bloom. They are my favorite flower. The other day I went to go weed them and they are all against the back fence in a long long row. Elm seeds had gotten in between them and all around the bases of them. I had to clear them all out and picked up a pretty good sunburn. I like growing them. Sure don't like weeding them though. But they are looking good. I don't have any favorite gardening tips except do not weed a dry row. Put some water in it before you weed it. Its better to come out a muddy monkey then to be out there trying to force the weeds to come out when their inclined to grip with all their will power. You end up just snapping them off at the roots while they grin beneath the soil. "Ha ha didnt get me."
