My garden is my refuge and expression I can lose myself in the mulching and weeding and planting. But when the preliminary work is done, the pleasure and scent of the flowers and herbs cannot be measured for such little work. St. Francis stands in my garden in a 5 foot statue and oversees the garden. Both St. Francis and the garden are such a source of comfort to me as well as the neighbors and people passing who stop to chat and admire my garden. Perhaps the garden has given them a moment of peace and beauty as well. I always have a smile on my face working in the garden and will always take a moment to chat with whoever is passing by and stops to admire my garden.
