Why I love living off the land
Why I love living off the land I moved to Belize so I could eat fresh fruits and vegetables and live the 100 mile diet. I have a 2 acre citrus and fruit orchard, and am currently amending the soil with freshly made yard compost so that I can start a vegetable garden. Down here I can have 2 harvests a year. It is a constant battle to outwit the insects and animals who live in the jungle and are also looking for food all the time. I experiment with various non-toxic pest repellent methods like orange peels and tinfoil. That seems to work pretty well for leaf cutter ants and termites.
