Seeds grow with a lot of tender loving care! I help my mom a lot in her garden. She is quite a good gardener and most of what I know has come from watching her. She has many good ideas and she most often is so stubborn, she never gives up. She talks to her plants, she names her plants, she knows each one like she knows each of her children. She does not just plan and ignore, she plants and nurtures along the plan. She planted some strawberries two years ago and nothing happened except for the leaves grew big and beautiful, she didn't know whether to pull them up or to keep them growing. She kept them growing and this year she got strawberries. She has learned so much on her own and most of all she has learned to love more fully through the natural world. Every plant, every animal, and ever person in her life has meant so much to her. I think growing a garden helps you to learn to love the simplicity of the world around you!
